Frequently Asked Questions

  • We offer a variety of sizes for most designs: Petite, Compact, Classic, Deluxe, Premium, and the VIP. Increasing the price of an arrangement impacts the vase we use, as well as the amount and types of of flowers we use. Regardless of size, we only use local premium flowers and never any traditional fillers such as carnations, mums, and babies breath.

    • Petite: A small gesture that’s perfect for a bedside table or a desk.

    • Compact: Slightly larger than the petite size, this arrangement is also well suited for a desk or as a small centerpiece.

    • Classic: Our most popular choice, this size is perfect for a kitchen table centerpiece or coffee table. It is full without being overly large.

    • Deluxe: A beautiful option for a fuller centerpiece that makes more of a statement.

    • Premium: A great gift for a special occasion or a particularly eye-catching focal piece.

    • VIP: Overflowing with blooms! The best of the best, for when only over-the-top will do.

  • Everything we do is custom made. This allows us to best match our customers’ needs and use the freshest blooms possible.

Unfortunately, this means we don’t stock any pre-made arrangements or planters in the shop. You can place your order online, by calling the shop, or sending us an email. We’d love to put something special together just for you.

  • Because our flowers are locally sourced, our selection varies by season. This means that we cannot guarantee we’ll have certain flowers in on any given day. For an idea of what we have been getting in, call the shop and our team will walk you through our current flower selection. If you have any special requests, please let us know and we’ll try our best to accommodate.

  • We're proud to partner with some truly wonderful growers! All of our beautiful flowers come from small farms in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties. Our plants and orchids are also sourced from local nurseries.

We're committed to using only locally grown blooms. This means that when you choose us, you're not only supporting these dedicated small businesses, but you're also guaranteed to receive the freshest flowers available – often harvested on the very same day you receive them.

  • We’re open Monday through Friday; therefore we only offer weekday delivery. We don’t deliver Saturday or Sunday with the exception of larger events. If you need something over the weekend, we suggest having it delivered Friday. The flowers will be fresh and lovely for the weekend and beyond.

  • Yes, we do offer same-day delivery at no extra cost. Just be sure to place your order before 12 pm PST. If you’ve missed the cut-off time, give us a call, there’s always a chance we can still help! If you’re ordering a VIP-sized arrangement (or something even larger) we do ask that you order at least one day ahead of time. This allows us to source exactly the right flowers for your show-stopping arrangement, and take our time in creating it.

  • Your order should arrive to your recipient between approximately 12 - 6 pm. It may sometimes arrive earlier or later than that. Unfortunately we’re not able to guarantee a time that it will arrive as each day our schedule changes.

You will receive a confirmation email that your order is out for delivery if you place your order via our website. If you placed a phone order, you’re more than welcome to give our shop a call and check in on the status of your order. We know it can be nerve-wracking waiting for your flowers to arrive, and we’d be more than happy to give you an update.

  • Our flower selection changes daily. We’ll always try to match the colors and general style to what you ordered, but the specific flowers and hues used may be different. We are committed to choosing the prettiest and freshest premium blooms available (we do not use traditional “filler” flowers such as carnations or babies breath). If there is a design element that is important for us to include, we ask that you make a note in the “delivery instructions and special requests” box at checkout.

We regularly deliver flowers to hospitals such as Stanford Hospital, Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP), Kaiser Permanente Redwood City Medical Center, Sequoia Hospital, and many more. • If the recipient isn't home, our driver will look for a safe place to leave the flowers.

To ensure a smooth delivery, we recommend checking that someone will be available to receive the flowers on your chosen delivery date. Please also double-check the delivery address, as a re-delivery fee will apply if the initial address is incorrect or inaccessible. In such cases, we will reach out to you for an updated address. If we don't receive a response within two days, we will unfortunately have to cancel the order without a refund.

  • Unfortunately, not at this time. It can overwhelm our little studio, so it’s not a service we offer. To see examples of our most recent work, please visit our instagram: @bellajardinfloral

  • Your flowers will be happiest in a spot that’s not in direct sunlight and away from heat. We suggest that you change the water every day or two and give the end of the stems a small snip as well. On occasion, some blooms may wilt before others. Simply removing these will help keep the rest of the arrangement looking fresh and beautiful.

  • We’re more of a working floral studio than we are a retail shop at the moment. If you’d like to stop by our location in Carmel-by-the-Sea, give us a call and we’ll set up a time that works! We’d love to say hi. We also offer same-day pickup at our Carmel studio; if picking up your flowers instead of having them delivered would work better for you, give us a call and we’ll set that up! We’re located in Barnyard Shopping Village, directly underneath the windmill.
